r/web_design
The design-focused counterpart to r/webdev, and considerably quieter. Fewer posts, similar discussion depth, and the same containment approach to anything promotional.

Small, and structured the same way
Feedback requests and critiques are confined to weekend threads, self-promotion is restricted under the 9:1 guidance, and commercial promotion or solicitation can result in a ban. Blog posts require moderator approval. Beginner questions are pushed to a stickied thread, and questions about drag-and-drop site builders are redirected to those products' own communities.
The practical consequence is that this is a place to answer design questions well rather than to show your work. Given the volume, expect a handful of genuinely relevant threads a week rather than daily opportunities.
If you are a designer looking for actual client work, the rules here point you elsewhere and you should follow them โ r/forhire is the marketplace, and this is the professional community.
Promotion rules, in the moderators' own words
4 of r/web_design's 9 rules govern promotion, advertising or soliciting, quoted verbatim:
No self-promotion
Read and follow reddiquette; no excessive self-promotion. Please refer to the Reddit 9:1 rule when considering posting self promoting materials.
No commercial promotions/solicitations
We do not allow any commercial promotion or solicitation. Violations can result in a ban.
No soliciting feedback outside of Showoff Saturday
Requests for critiques or feedback are not allowed outside of our Feedback Weekend threads. Questions or request for assistance are generally allowed if they follow all other rules. If links are included which are not necessary for answering a question, the post is subject to removal.
No Blog Spam
Blog posts are subject to moderator approval.
