How to read the numbers
Posts per day beats subscriber count. A 700k-member subreddit that only clears a handful of posts a day is often a better place to comment than a busy one: your reply sits near the top for hours instead of minutes. Conversely, a sub with hundreds of posts a day needs you to be fast, which is the case for automated monitoring.
Median comments tells you if anyone is listening. A median near zero means most posts are ignored — usually a sub full of people promoting to each other. Look for a healthy median (roughly 5+) before investing time.
Text-post share hints at culture. Communities dominated by self posts are discussion-first, which is where questions — and therefore leads — live. Link-heavy subs are usually news aggregators where a comment gets buried.
