r/EntrepreneurRideAlong
A community built around following businesses as they are being built, rather than admiring them once they work. The culture rewards process, difficulty and detail โ which is unusual, and useful.
What the numbers say
r/EntrepreneurRideAlong sees a steady flow of posts โ about 15 a day โ with moderate discussion. Moderate on both counts: enough posts that something appears daily, enough discussion that a good contribution is noticed. It accepts text posts only, so there is no way to submit a link as a post โ whatever you want read has to be written out in the post itself.

What these numbers mean and why subscriber count is the wrong one is explained on the directory hub.
The one place where showing your working is the format
Most business subreddits punish talking about your own company. This one is organised around it, provided you do it as a narrative rather than a pitch. People post revenue numbers, failed experiments, customer-acquisition attempts that did not work, and the community engages with the detail.
That makes it the natural home for the build-log play, which is the slowest and most durable form of marketing available to a bootstrapped founder. You post progress over months, including the parts that went badly, and gradually become a person the community recognises. Recognition is the entire mechanism โ it converts nothing directly and it compounds indefinitely.
The failure mode is a build log written as marketing, which reads exactly like one. If the difficulties are absent and every instalment ends with a link, the community will identify what you are doing within two posts.
Promotion rules
r/EntrepreneurRideAlong lists 3 rules and none of them specifically governs self-promotion, advertising or soliciting. That is unusual, and it does not mean promotion is welcome โ it means the moderators have not written it down, so the community's own tolerance decides, and Reddit's sitewide self-promotion guidance still applies. Read a week of threads before assuming anything.
When to post in r/EntrepreneurRideAlong
Hours whose posts drew the most discussion, across the 100 most recent:

- 05:00 UTC (12am ET / 9pm PT) โ averaged 16.2 comments per post
A tie-breaker, not a rule โ see why timing matters less than you would like.

Bootstrapped founders willing to work in public over months. Also a good listening post for anyone selling tools to early-stage operators, because problems are described here in unusual detail.

More than most business subreddits, provided it is embedded in a genuine account of building something. Standalone promotional posts are not the format; narratives that happen to include your product are.
